Hello everyone — I’m still alive! No worries on that front. You probably noticed (if you’ve been visiting this blog lately) that I haven’t been updating it very much since the new year. I’ll let you in on what’s been happening.
As some of you may already know, I’ve been blogging about my financial voyage towards becoming FIRE for more than a year now and, while I’ve had fun doing it, I think it’s time for me to move onto to bigger and better projects. That being said, I don’t plan on going anywhere. I’m still just as passionate about the topic as I was when I started working on GoGoAssets a little less than 2 years ago (before I published it online). The truth is, lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve run out of things to say — and there’s nothing more demotivating than writing just for the sake of writing. It’s also not particularly interesting nor useful to you, the reader. On top of that, there are other blogs out there that do what I do here, but a million times better. I am neither a natural born writer nor a financial guru — so my well of inspiration was pretty limited to begin with. I promised myself when I started this journey that I would continue this blog so long as it remained fun for me. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the fun ran out a while ago.
But like I said earlier, I’m not planning on going anywhere. I’m still incredibly fascinated by the topic and my overall goal (to become FIRE) remains the same. On that note, I’ve been working on a different kind of site, one that I think will play to my strengths much more than this blog ever did, and hopefully you will find it more interesting too. I don’t want to give away too much at this point, but it will hopefully be ready in a couple of months. I’ll let you know (right here) when it’s up and running.
Until then, thanks for reading!
